LUMAJANG -- After seven days of helping the victims of the eruption of Mount Semeru in Lumajang, East Java, the Emergency Response Group (ERG) Team of PT Timah Tbk is still providing medical services and distributing logistics for disaster victims.
Health services are carried out in Jarit Village to serve people in need. In addition to serving the society, the medical team also supports medicines and health services for the volunteer team.
Previously, PT Timah's ERG team was also involved in the evacuation and handling of disaster victims.
"Health service activities are still being carried out. In addition to serving disaster victims, PT Timah Tbk's ERG medical team also provides health services for volunteers," said Head of Corporate Communications of PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan, Sunday (12/12/2021).
Anggi said that the ERG Team was also still distributing the logistics of residents' needs, where this time the team distributed basic food packages along with snacks for farming communities.
"The basic necessities are distributed to the farming community around the post. Hopefully with this assistance it can ease the burden on the residents who have been hit by the disaster," he said.
The ERG team of PT Timah Tbk also handed out goggles to the volunteers. This is to make it easier for volunteers to help the society.
"PT Timah Tbk continues to do its best to assist disaster management together with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises. The ERG team has also mapped out what disaster victims still need so that later what we distribute is right on target and appropriate," said Anggi. (**)
