BALI -- PT TIMAH Tbk once again received the Gold Rank at the 2025 Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT). This award recognizes the quality of the company’s sustainability report and its commitment to consistently and measurably implementing Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) principles.
ASRRAT is an assessment program organized by the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR), which for more than two decades has served as a benchmark for credibility in sustainability reporting across Asia.
Now in its 21st year, ASRRAT continues to strengthen its role as a platform that encourages companies to integrate environmental, social, and governance aspects into their long-term business strategies.
The Gold Rank award was received directly by PT TIMAH Tbk’s Director of Production and Commercial, Ilhamsyah Mahendra, at the awarding ceremony held at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, on Friday (November 26, 2025).
This year, ASRRAT was joined by 82 participants, consisting of 78 companies from Indonesia—including three public sector entities—and four companies from Bangladesh and the Philippines.
Chairman of the NCSR Board of Trustees, Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro, emphasized the importance of harmonizing global sustainability reporting standards. He noted that the evolution of international regulations such as IFRS S1–S2, TCFD, the GRI Standards, and the ASEAN Taxonomy requires companies to present data that is more measurable, transparent, and comparable.
“Companies need to adapt to global demands that are increasingly measurable and comparable. With strong, consistent data aligned with global standards, sustainability reports can serve as strategic tools for organizations,” he said.
Prof. Bambang also stressed that sustainability reports are an indicator of a company’s readiness to navigate economic transitions and future sustainability challenges.
He added that ASRRAT plays an important role as an independent assessment mechanism that supports the improvement of sustainability report quality year after year.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of ICSP and Chairperson of the ASRRAT Jury Committee 2025, Prof. Sylvia Veronica Siregar, explained that the jury noted improvements in the quality of participants’ sustainability report preparation this year.
She emphasized that the assessment continues to adhere to the GRI Standards 2021 and relevant OJK regulations, focusing on completeness, balance, and reporting accuracy.
“ASRRAT 2025 serves as a platform for appreciation, learning, and reflection on the development of sustainability reporting in Asia. Through the rating and feedback mechanisms such as the scorecard, ASRRAT encourages consistent improvement in report quality from year to year,” she said.
PT TIMAH Tbk’s Director of Production and Commercial, Ilhamsyah Mahendra, stated that the ASRRAT 2025 Gold Rank award motivates the company to continue strengthening sustainability performance across all operational lines.

“This award is tangible proof of PT TIMAH Tbk’s commitment to consistently applying ESG principles. The company continues working to enhance transparency, strengthen governance practices, and implement programs that deliver positive impacts on the environment and society,” Ilhamsyah said.
He added that the company will continue aligning its sustainability reporting with global standards and ensuring that ESG implementation progresses in line with PT TIMAH Tbk’s long-term business strategy.
“Going forward, the company will continue strengthening the integration of sustainability aspects into business processes, enabling it to deliver added value for stakeholders and support the company’s competitiveness at the regional and international levels,” he concluded. (*)
