BANGKA -- To support the 2025 Christmas celebration, PT TIMAH Tbk provided assistance for the Christmas celebration of the congregation of the Protestant Church in Western Indonesia (GPIB) Ora Et Labora in Sungailiat, Bangka Regency.
This assistance represents one form of the company’s care for the community in supporting social and religious activities. Together with the Christmas Committee of GPIB Ora Et Labora Sungailiat, PT TIMAH Tbk distributed dozens of basic food packages to orphans, widows, and low-income community members.
In addition, as an expression of tolerance and interfaith harmony, the Christmas Committee also distributed basic food packages to Muslim residents living around the church.
The Chairperson of the Christmas Celebration Committee of GPIB Ora Et Labora Sungailiat, Ruhut Jeniar Berliana Panjaitan, stated that the committee organized various activities as part of this year’s Christmas celebration, including charity programs, a musical drama, and other activities, which were held on Friday, December 26, 2025.
According to her, the assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk was utilized to support Christmas and Easter activities. These social programs are routine initiatives carried out by the church.
“We would like to express our gratitude to PT TIMAH Tbk, which has consistently been present every year to support our Christmas and Easter activities. This assistance is very meaningful for the congregation and the community. We also recognize that PT TIMAH Tbk’s concern is not only felt in Sungailiat, but also by GPIB congregations in Muntok,” she said.
She added that the support from PT TIMAH Tbk is a tangible manifestation of the company’s commitment to social life and diversity in Bangka Belitung.

This year’s Christmas celebration at GPIB Ora Et Labora Sungailiat was not only filled with worship services, but also various activities fostering togetherness, such as a musical drama themed on caring for the environment performed by children, traditional dances, choir performances in Batak and Ambonese languages, the distribution of basic food packages, and a communal dinner with the congregation and community.
