PT Timah Tbk Deploys a Fleet of Healthy Cars to Serve Belitung Island Residents

EAST BELITUNG – PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car provides free health services for the people of Belitung Island. PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car is a mobile health service to bring health services closer to residents.

Previously, at the end of 2021, PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car had provided services for 621 residents of Belitung Island. However, because it was still in preparation for the Healthy Car, PT Timah Tbk returned to Bangka Island.

In 2022, PT Timah Tbk deployed one unit of Healthy Cars to settle on Belitung Island to provide health services for the community.

Starting its inaugural journey in 2022 on Belitung Island, Healthy Car serves the residents of Simpang Pesak Village, Simpang Pesak District, East Belitung Regency. Health services are held at the Simpang Pesak Gallery Page, Friday (25/2/2022).

The arrival of PT Timah Tbk's healthy car was enthusiastically welcomed by the residents, because they had experienced the benefits of this health service firsthand. Held in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, PT Timah Tbk's healthy car service applies health protocols.

One of them, a resident of Simpang Pesak Village, Sarina (50) said that PT Timah Tbk's health car facilities and services were very good, and hoped that in the future this healthy car could return to their village.

"The treatment is very comfortable, and the staff is friendly," he said.

Similarly, Erham (58) also hopes that PT Timah Tbk's healthy car will regularly come to Simpang Pesak Village, so that it can help people who do not want to go to the hospital for treatment.

"The treatment is comfortable here, doesn't take a long time, and the atmosphere is open and very comfortable," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Simpang Pesak Village, Suryanto, appreciated the presence of a healthy car from PT Timah Tbk in their village, because it can help check the health of the community, so that they can know their health condition.

"Hopefully PT Timah Tbk not just do this once, but this routine can come back to this village," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Regent of East Belitung Khairil Anwar said the activity initiated by PT Timah Tbk is a PT Timah Tbk's commitment to provide health services for the community.

"This is proof that PT Timah Tbk cares about public health," he said.

He said that the East Belitung Regency Government appreciated PT Timah Tbk's steps in helping health services, and hoped that this activity would continue.

"We collaborate so that we can reach people who are far from the Puskesmas, especially to serve the elderly. We welcome PT Timah Tbk's good intentions," he said.*
