WEST BANGKA – PT Timah Tbk's commitment to preserving the customs and culture of the communities in its operational areas continues to be realized through various forms of support for cultural preservation activities.
One such form of support is their assistance in the implementation of the Annual Rebo Pusaka Ritual of Setana Jering Amantubillah, held at the Jering Traditional House in Pelangas Village, Simpang Teritip District, West Bangka Regency, some time ago.
This annual cultural event is a tradition that has been passed down through generations by the local community.
The Head of Setana Jering Amantubillah, Dr. Sardi, expressed his appreciation for PT Timah’s attention and concern, as the company consistently supports the ritual every year.
“Alhamdulillah, the assistance from PT Timah has been very helpful in covering the shortfall in funds for the event. This support is a concrete demonstration of the company's concern for the preservation of local customs,” he stated.
Sardi explained that the support from PT TIMAH Tbk was used to address several needs for the event. He added that PT TIMAH Tbk's dedication to the preservation of customs is not a new initiative, but one that has been consistently maintained year after year.
“We are very grateful because PT Timah has never been tired of supporting our activities. In recent years, the company has always been present to help organize this cultural ritual,” he said.
In addition to supporting the Rebo Pusaka Ritual, PT Timah Tbk is also actively involved in various other cultural events in West Bangka, such as the Ketupat War, Sedekah Kapong Kundi Bersatu, and other traditional activities that are an integral part of the local community's identity.
