BELITUNG - PT Timah Tbk consistently supports and succeeds the 2023 Belitong de Sintak Fishing Tournament held by the Belitung Regency Fisheries Service.
PT Timah Tbk has supported this event since its inception in 2016. PT Timah Tbk has never been absent from providing support for this annual routine activity.
This time, the tournament which was held in the north of Belitung Island, namely Tanjung Kelayang, Sijuk was attended by 110 participating teams and was held on Saturday-Sunday (8-9/7/2023).
Chairman of the Committee for the 2023 Belitong de Sintak Fishing Tournament Ade Winarko said this prestigious tournament was intended to develop the world of anglers in Belitung, as well as a gathering event and introduce measurable fishing as directed by the Ministry of Fisheries.
"Thank God the participants were from local Belitung, there were from Jakarta, Palembang, Bekasi, Pangkalpinang, and the majority of Belitong Island," said Ade Winarko.

According to Ade Winarko, the technique used in this tournament is a mixture of "sport fishing" and "traditional fishing".
Ade continued, the annual event held by the Belitung Regency Fisheries Service competed for a total prize of 170 million for 14 categories of winners.
Therefore, he appreciates PT Timah Tbk's support in making the annual event on the Sijuk Sea a success.
"Alhamdulillah, since 2016 this tournament has existed, PT Timah Tbk has never stopped helping us, the fisheries service, and the Belitung Regency Government," he explained.
He hopes that PT Timah Tbk will continue supporting their event so that it is bigger and more global.
"God willing, in October 2023 we will hold one event on a national scale and the planned location is in the southern region," he said. (*)
