PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental conservation as part of the implementation of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) through the One Thousand Trees for the Nation Program.

Throughout 2025, the company planted a total of 1,400 tree seedlings across various operational areas as a tangible manifestation of its concern for environmental sustainability.

This program is designed not only as an environmental rehabilitation effort, but also to encourage economic and social benefits for surrounding communities through the planting of productive trees.

The series of tree-planting activities was carried out at several locations involving local communities and farmer groups in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province.

The seedlings planted included mango, durian, avocado, rambutan, coconut, and various other productive tree species, which are expected to provide sustainable benefits to the community over time.

As part of the 2025 Occupational Health and Safety Month (K3 Month), PT TIMAH Tbk planted 500 tree seedlings consisting of mango, durian, avocado, and rambutan. This activity symbolized the company’s commitment to workplace safety in harmony with environmental stewardship.

In addition, the company planted 200 tree seedlings in the Balai Karya area as part of efforts to green the work environment and its surroundings to make them greener, healthier, and more productive.

PT TIMAH Tbk also took advantage of World Environment Day 2025 by planting 500 productive tree seedlings together with the Pelangi Lestari Forest Farmer Group in Pongkar Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency.

This collaboration reflects the synergy between the company and the community in preserving forest sustainability while strengthening local economic resilience.

Furthermore, PT TIMAH Tbk planted 100 coconut tree seedlings and 100 mango tree seedlings in Tepus Village, South Bangka Regency. This program is expected to provide added value for village communities through future harvest yields.

“This tree-planting initiative is not merely symbolic, but part of the company’s long-term commitment to supporting environmental conservation and mitigating climate change,” she said.
