PT TIMAH Tbk Celebrates Mother’s Day Through the Women In TINS Series: Resilient, Adaptive, and Empowered Women

PANGKALPINANG -- In commemoration of Mother’s Day, PT TIMAH Tbk held the Women In TINS Series event under the theme “Resilient, Adaptive, and Empowered Women in the Era of Transformation,” which took place at Graha Timah Pangkalpinang on Monday (December 22, 2025).

The event was attended by female employees of PT TIMAH Tbk and the company’s Director of Human Resources, Ratih Mayasari. It featured speakers including Professional Coach and Organizational Transformation Practitioner A. Darmawantik, commonly known as Ibu Dade, as well as MSME entrepreneur and owner of Jamu Mbok Ti, Tiya Apriano.

The event also showcased an MSME bazaar featuring fostered partners of PT TIMAH Tbk, all of whom were women. A variety of food and beverage products were presented at the bazaar.

The female employees of PT TIMAH Tbk enthusiastically participated in the event, wearing traditional kebaya and baju kurung, learning how to make herbal drinks (jamu), and capturing moments of togetherness.

The Women In TINS Series serves as a platform for reflection, empowerment, and strengthening women within the company, preparing them to face the ever-evolving challenges of the workplace.

In her remarks, PT TIMAH Tbk Director of Human Resources Ratih Mayasari stated that women possess unique qualities and strengths that must continue to be reinforced, especially amid organizational transformation and changes in the world of work.

“Women at PT TIMAH Tbk must continue to strengthen themselves. We may be a minority, but with the unique qualities bestowed upon us by God as women, we must not give up. We must become more resilient, adaptive, and empowered in this era of transformation,” Ratih said.

She also highlighted the structural challenges women still face in the workplace, particularly in balancing professional responsibilities and family roles. According to her, the limited number of women in top leadership positions is not due to a lack of competence, but rather the absence of a fully women-friendly work ecosystem.

“Many women are highly accomplished, but when they enter the phase of building a family and having children, not a few are forced to step back. The workplace has not fully provided an environment that allows women to remain responsible for both family and career,” she explained.

Ratih expressed hope that PT TIMAH Tbk would continue to strengthen its support for women by creating an inclusive and family-friendly work environment, including support during critical phases of women’s lives.

On that occasion, she also appreciated the presence of the Women In TINS community as a space for togetherness and mutual support among women at PT TIMAH Tbk.

“I hope there will be more positive activities with Women In TINS in the future—not only to foster togetherness and mutual support, but also to contribute to the company,” she said.

Professional Coach and Organizational Transformation Practitioner A. Darmawantik shared her experiences and delivered material on Transformational Women’s Leadership. She emphasized the importance of self-awareness as the foundation of women’s leadership.

“This is not just about leading others, but about leading ourselves first—starting from our thoughts, beliefs, choices, and the direction of our lives and careers. An empowered woman is not the one with the loudest voice, but the one with the strongest self-awareness,” she explained.

According to Darmawantik, resilient women are those who are able to rise from pressure, failure, and life’s challenges, and grow stronger through new meaning and understanding.

“Resilience is not just about surviving, but about growing after the storm. Women must be aware of their roles, able to lead themselves, make decisions, strengthen others, and become the best version of themselves,” she said.

Meanwhile, MSME entrepreneur and owner of Jamu Mbok Ti, Tiya Apriano, shared her journey of starting a traditional herbal drink business and developing it into a sustainable enterprise. She also demonstrated how to make traditional jamu.

The event was warmly welcomed by female employees of PT TIMAH Tbk. Christine emphasized the importance of integrity and professionalism as the main foundations for women in carrying out their various roles, both at work and within the family.

Similarly, Rika Febriyani said she gained many reflections from the material presented.

“What resonated most with me was the concept of being empowered, leading oneself, and managing emotions and work more wisely,” she said.

Through this activity, PT TIMAH Tbk reaffirmed its commitment to supporting women’s empowerment, creating an inclusive work environment, and encouraging the growth of resilient, adaptive, and empowered women in the era of transformation. (*)
