Through CSR PT Timah Tbk implements various programs to support formal and informal education such as improving facilities and infrastructure as well as building educational facilities.
To support religious education activities in Sawang Laut Village, Kundur Barat District, Karimun Regency, PT Timah Tbk handed over assistance for constructing the Al-Ikhlas Al Quran Education Park (TPQ) located in Hamlet IV, Sawang Laut Village, Kundur Barat District, Monday (24/10). /2022).
The head of TPQ Al - Ikhlas Suyitno said that the assistance provided by PT Timah Tbk was needed by them to build an Al-Qur'an Learning Park for children in Hamlet IV, Sawang Laut Village.
"We will immediately use this aid to purchase materials such as sand, stone, cement, and other development needs," he said.
So far, said Suyitno, children study at the mosque, but because the mosque is being repaired, the teaching and learning process has been shifted to a multi-purpose building owned by youth.
According to Suyitno, there are about 40 children who are studying the Koran at TPQ Al - Ikhlas.
"With this assistance, it is hoped that development can be carried out quickly, and for now the community is still self-sufficient in carrying out development," he said.
He is endlessly grateful for getting help from PT Timah Tbk so that later the children can study comfortably.
