BELITUNG -- The legal assistance provided by the Belitung District Attorney’s Office (Kejari Belitung) has successfully supported PT TIMAH Tbk in efforts to safeguard state assets within PT TIMAH Tbk’s Mining Business License Area (IUP) as well as to improve mining governance.
As a form of appreciation for this collaboration, PT TIMAH Tbk presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Belitung District Attorney’s Office for its cooperation in optimizing PT TIMAH Tbk’s IUP covering an area of 20,841 hectares, as part of improving mining governance through legal assistance in regulating unauthorized locations.
The award was presented by PT TIMAH Tbk President Director Restu Widiyantoro to the Head of the Belitung District Attorney’s Office, Bagus Nur Jakfar Adiputro, and was witnessed by the Head of the High Prosecutor’s Office of Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Sila Haholongan, and the Regent of Belitung Regency, Djoni Alamsyah. The event took place during the “Coordination Meeting and Signing of a Joint Agreement on Poverty Alleviation Programs, Stunting, Post–Restorative Justice Recovery, and Human Trafficking in Belitung Regency,” held at the Golden Tulip Hotel on Monday (December 29, 2025).
The collaboration between PT TIMAH Tbk and the Belitung District Attorney’s Office represents a strategic step in strengthening good, transparent mining governance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Legal assistance from the Prosecutor’s Office is considered to play an important role in providing legal certainty and supporting the optimization of the company’s IUP area management.
PT TIMAH Tbk views synergy with law enforcement agencies as an essential part of safeguarding state assets while ensuring that mining activities are conducted legally and sustainably. Efforts to regulate unauthorized locations also reflect the company’s commitment to supporting law enforcement in the mining sector. The management of previously uncontrolled use of state land within PT TIMAH Tbk’s IUP has generated positive impacts for communities as well as increased revenue for the state and regional governments.

On this occasion, PT TIMAH Tbk also provided assistance in the form of livable housing to support the Bahari (Adhyaksa Housing Assistance for the Nation) program, which is a follow-up to the Adhyaksa Stop Stunting Movement (GASS).
Head of the Belitung District Attorney’s Office, Bagus Nur Jakfar Adiputro, stated that the Bahari program also involves local communities, fostering a spirit of mutual cooperation.

The presentation of the certificate of appreciation and the livable housing assistance program further underscores that collaboration between PT TIMAH Tbk and law enforcement institutions can deliver tangible benefits for the country—not only in terms of law enforcement, but also in safeguarding state assets and improving national mining governance.
