KUNDUR -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting local communities through assistance for the renovation of worship facilities. This time, PT TIMAH provided support for the renovation of Al Fajruh Prayer Room, located in Tanjung Batu Kota Village, Kundur District, Riau Islands Province.
The renovation assistance is a concrete effort by PT TIMAH to help improve the comfort of community members in carrying out their religious activities while also supporting the regular religious programs conducted by local residents.
Samliah, the administrator of Al Fajruh Prayer Room and Chairwoman of the Al Fajruh Islamic Study Group, expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided by PT TIMAH, noting that the prayer room was in need of repairs.
According to her, several parts of the building, including the flooring and ceiling, had deteriorated significantly and required renovation to ensure the facility remained safe and comfortable for public use.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful for this assistance. The condition of the prayer room had become quite concerning, especially the flooring and ceiling. If repairs had not been carried out soon, the damage could have become even more severe,” she said.
Samliah explained that Al Fajruh Prayer Room is not only used for congregational prayers but also serves as a center for community religious activities, including Islamic study sessions and other programs organized by the Islamic study group.
Therefore, the renovation is expected to provide greater comfort for community members in carrying out various religious activities and faith-based educational programs.
“This prayer room is also used for Islamic study group activities and other religious programs. Hopefully, after the renovation, worshippers will feel more comfortable, and religious activities will become even more vibrant,” she added.
