WEST BANGKA — PT Timah is committed to supporting the advancement of sports in West Bangka. One of the ways is by participating in supporting the Open Tournament Football Belo Laut in 2023.
The Chairman of the Open Belo Laut Tournament Organizing Committee, Febri Harto, stated that PT Timah Tbk consistently supports football tournaments held in Belo Laut.
"PT Timah supports tournaments held in Belo Laut every year. This year, it is organized as an Open Tournament, with 58 teams, including 8 teams from outside West Bangka," said Febri when receiving assistance from PT Timah Tbk on Friday (December 8, 2023).
"We, as the organizing committee, express our gratitude to PT Timah for their support in the Open Tournament Football Belo Laut. We hope that PT Timah will continue to improve, succeed, and progress further in the future," he added.
Similar sentiments were expressed by the Chairman of the West Bangka National Sports Committee (KONI), Muhammad Amin, who stated that PT Timah continues to be committed to supporting sports in West Bangka.
"PT Timah is one of the companies committed to supporting the development of sports in West Bangka," he said.
According to him, in addition to supporting community sports competitions, PT Timah Tbk also actively supports the development of athletes by sponsoring various championships.
"Not only in the football sports branch, but other sports branches are also often assisted by PT Timah. During the West Bangka Provincial Sports Week (Porprov), PT Timah actively contributed to the success of the sports event," he explained. (*)
