PANGKALPINANG – To enhance the competitiveness of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) players and drive economic growth in the company’s operational areas, PT Timah continues to support the development of MSMEs.

In recent years, PT Timah has initiated various programs, including training, capital assistance, marketing, and mentorship for MSMEs, especially those located within the company’s operational areas.

The training programs provided by PT Timah for MSME players cover a variety of topics, such as Strategies and MSME Improvement Training through Entrepreneurial Mindset and Product Branding in the Competitive Digital Market.

Previously, PT Timah also organized training on preparing Digital-Based MSME Financial Reports.

Moreover, Rumah BUMN Belitung, managed by PT Timah Tbk, has conducted training for hundreds of MSMEs. As of September 2024, Rumah BUMN Belitung has held 19 training sessions for MSMEs.

As a Mining Industry Holding, MIND ID member, PT Timah consistently supports MSME development through the Micro and Small Business Funding Program (PUMK), which began in 2000.

Over 9,000 MSME players in PT Timah’s operational areas have benefited from the PUMK program to develop their businesses across various sectors.

"Through training and capital assistance programs for MSMEs, the company hopes to encourage the growth of competitive MSMEs, thereby positively impacting the local economy," said the Head of Corporate Communications, Anggi Siahaan.

PT Timah’s commitment to supporting MSMEs is driven by the fact that MSMEs are one of the key pillars of Indonesia’s economy.

"MSMEs not only contribute to job creation but also strengthen the local economy. Therefore, PT Timah remains committed to supporting MSME development through various sustainable initiatives," Anggi added.

Through training and capital support, PT Timah hopes to see more MSMEs grow into larger enterprises capable of competing nationally and even globally.

In recent years, dozens of PT Timah’s fostered MSMEs have "graduated," having been assessed as successfully developing into more independent businesses.

To support MSME product promotion, PT Timah also frequently participates in both local and national exhibitions, helping to increase the visibility of MSME products. (*)
