PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk employees have once again delivered outstanding achievements. This time, in table tennis and badminton, four employees successfully won championships at the JFX Olympic 2025.
The JFX Olympic 2025 is a sports event organized by JFX to celebrate its 26th anniversary, featuring hundreds of athletes from various institutions and competing in multiple sports categories.
These victories not only serve as personal accomplishments but also bring pride to the company in the sporting arena. PT Timah Tbk employees secured first place in men’s doubles table tennis and first place in men’s badminton.
One of the company’s employees, Waisya Hidayat, who participated in the championship, said that they received full support from the company to take part in this competition.
According to Waisya, they also prepared extensively by training regularly after work, as table tennis is one of the sports managed under PT Timah Tbk’s Baporseni (employee sports and arts association).
“The company supports us with both facilities and encouragement, which made us more confident. This motivated us to give our best performance,” he said.
Similarly, Fernando, another PT Timah employee who competed in tennis, said the championship was an extraordinary and exciting experience. He noted that the event was not only about competition but also about building camaraderie among participants.
“The atmosphere was so lively, especially with the enthusiastic support of the audience. The excitement grew as every match was intense, full of strategy, and tested our technical skills. Before the championship, we trained intensively, from mastering basic techniques, doing physical exercises, to routine sparring. It was exhausting, but the results were very rewarding,” he said.
PT Timah Tbk expressed its appreciation for these achievements, stating that employee success in sports demonstrates the importance of balancing work with personal development.
