JAKARTA -- Shabrina Leonita, who is now known by the stage name Shabrina Leonor, successfully stole the public's attention through her performance at the Indonesian Idol event. Shabrina's presence not only showed her extraordinary talent, but also made her home region, Bangka Belitung, proud.
The peak of public attention to Shabrina occurred when she performed the song “Seni Budaya Kite”, which successfully brought her to the Spectacular Show round and penetrated the Top 3 of Indonesian Idol.

Since childhood, Shabrina has been known to be active and energetic. Born into a family of musicians, her talent for singing was apparent from an early age. From kindergarten, Sasa was already fond of singing, and started participating in competitions since she was in elementary school.
One of the key moments in her career was when she won first place at the National Student Art Festival and Competition (FLS2N) in Kupang during high school.
After graduating, she also managed to make an achievement in a competition at one of the national TV stations, which then led her to get a scholarship and experience filling various events.
Shabrina's career as a singer has been pioneered for a long time, culminating in 2021, Shabrina won 1st place in the Karaoke World Championship (KWC) event in Finland. This achievement became one of the important footholds before finally participating in the Indonesian Idol event and gaining widespread popularity.
Shabrina's mother, Widya Restu Ningsih, expressed her pride and appreciation for her daughter's achievement. According to her, Shabrina has proven that she deserves to be recognized nationally thanks to her struggle and consistency in music.
“I am very proud of Sasa. In the past, not many people knew her, but through Indonesian Idol, her name is now known in almost all provinces. Many people DM me on social media, saying they are proud and touched by Sasa's performance. That makes me both touched and proud,” said Widya.
According to her, Shabrina often called Sasa has the ability to mesmerize everyone with her performances, and many people eagerly await her appearances.
Widya also shared that behind the glitter of the stage, there were concerns about Shabrina’s vocal cords, which had recently been strained. This made her anxious as her daughter prepared for her performance that night.
“In the morning, she told me her voice wasn’t fully recovered, even though she had to perform that evening. I was worried, especially because I know how hard she’s worked and how talented she is. I was definitely nervous, and when I saw her at the studio, it made me emotional. But I still believed she could get through it all,” she continued.
Widya hopes that Shabrina can continue to go far while staying true to herself. Sasa’s down-to-earth and humble personality is one of the reasons so many people love her.
“I don’t ask for much, I just want her to achieve her dreams and continue being a good person. Keep being the Sasa who’s innocent, playful, and genuine. People love her for who she really is,” she said.
Widya also expressed her appreciation for the support given by many parties, including PT Timah Tbk, which has provided full support to Shabrina throughout her journey on Indonesian Idol.
