PT Timah Supports Nutritious Meal Program for Students in the Land of the Rainbow Troops

EAST BELITUNG – In collaboration with the East Belitung Regency Government, PT Timah, a member of the MIND ID Indonesian Mining Industry Holding Group, organized the Nutritious Meal Program and Nutrition Counseling event at SDN 21 Gantung on Friday, December 6, 2024.

In addition to the nutrition counseling session, health check-ups were conducted for the students.

The event, which received an enthusiastic welcome from SDN 21 Gantung students, was attended by PT Timah's President Director, Ahmad Dani Virsal, the Vice Regent of East Belitung, the East Belitung Regional Secretary, local Forkopimda members, and the Chair of the East Belitung Regional Legislative Council (DPRD).

PT Timah President Director Ahmad Dani Virsal expressed his support for the Nutritious Meal Program initiated by the government, particularly in East Belitung Regency.

“This is a shared responsibility to provide the best for our nation's next generation. PT Timah is committed to continuously contributing its best efforts to the country and society,” he said.

The Vice Regent of East Belitung extended his appreciation to PT Timah for its continuous support of the local government programs, especially the free nutritious meal initiative.

“We are proud of PT Timah, which has already implemented programs like this to combat stunting, aligning with the central government’s initiatives. We hope this program will continue,” he remarked.

The nutritious meal program was also extended to all students at SMPN 4 Gantung, where they were served nutritious lunches designed by the East Belitung Health Department's nutrition team.

In addition to the Nutritious Meal Program, PT Timah also provided other forms of support, including school bags for all students of SDN 21 Gantung, desks and chairs for first-grade classrooms at SDN 21 Gantung, a laptop for Meranteh Gantung Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD), and onion seed assistance for the Gangse Farmers Group in East Belitung.
