PANGKALPINANG – PT Timah remains committed to supporting infrastructure development aimed at improving the quality of life for communities surrounding its operational areas.
This initiative is part of PT Timah’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, focusing on the construction of public facilities.
As a member of MIND ID, the Mining Industry Holding, PT Timah contributes to public infrastructure development across various sectors, including sports, education, marine and fisheries, public utilities, sanitation, worship facilities, and habitable housing.
In the sports sector, PT Timah has supported the renovation of volleyball courts in Sawang Village.
In education, the company has assisted with classroom rehabilitation, the completion of a madrasa building, bus stop repairs, and other initiatives.
To support fishermen’s activities, PT Timah has also contributed to the construction of infrastructure, such as bridges and the dredging of docking areas for fishing boats.
To improve public health, PT Timah has supported the construction of hygienic sanitation facilities, such as healthy latrines in Air Gantang Village, West Bangka.
In addition, PT Timah has enhanced worship facilities in its operational areas, including supporting mosque construction and providing assistance to other places of worship.
Anggi Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT Timah, stated that infrastructure development is one way the company supports regional development and improves community welfare.
