PT TIMAH Supports Community Healthcare, Provides Medical Assistance for Toddler in Pangkalpinang

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting local communities through a variety of social initiatives. One of these efforts is providing financial assistance for medical treatment to residents in need across the company's operational areas.

The medical assistance is intended to help ease the financial burden of families facing health challenges, particularly by covering expenses that support the treatment process.

One of the recipients of PT TIMAH's medical assistance is three-year-old Zilvina Adelia Azelia from Pangkalpinang City, who has been diagnosed with epilepsy.

Zilvina's mother, Yanti Arisandi, said she has taken her daughter to several hospitals across the Bangka Belitung Islands Province for treatment. However, despite multiple medical consultations, her condition has not improved, prompting doctors to refer Zilvina to Mohammad Hoesin Hospital in Palembang for further examination and treatment.

"We have already traveled to Palembang to complete the registration process. The doctors explained that our daughter will undergo intensive treatment to support the examination and treatment process," Yanti said.

Zilvina's father, Deka Erwandi, explained that the treatment at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital is scheduled to begin on July 21, 2026, and is expected to continue for several weeks.

According to Deka, the situation presents a significant financial challenge for the family, as they must cover transportation, accommodation, and medications that are not covered by the hospital. Meanwhile, the family's financial resources are limited.

"The assistance we received from PT TIMAH will be used to cover transportation and accommodation expenses, as well as to purchase medication," Deka said.

The medical assistance is expected to help Zilvina undergo her course of treatment more effectively. Her parents also hope that she will recover soon so she can return to her daily activities and enjoy a healthy childhood like other children her age.

"We would like to sincerely thank PT TIMAH for supporting our daughter's treatment through this medical assistance. As parents, our income is not enough to cover all of the expenses required. We wish PT TIMAH continued success in the future," Deka said. (*)
