BANGKA -- During the holy month of Ramadan, PT TIMAH is supporting food security for communities in need by distributing dozens of basic food packages as part of the Ramadan Safari program in the North Bangka Area, Belinyu, Bangka Regency, on Monday (March 2, 2026).
The distribution of these food packages reflects the company’s concern for meeting the community’s essential needs, especially amid increased household expenses during Ramadan. In addition to providing basic food assistance, PT TIMAH also distributed donations to orphans, tahfiz Al-Quran scholarships, and support for mosque caretakers.
This initiative is one of the company’s efforts to help ease the economic burden on residents while maintaining the purchasing power of underprivileged families as they observe the fasting month.
One of the beneficiaries, Hayani (72), expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided by PT TIMAH. The former PT TIMAH employee said she was touched to be able to take part again in an activity organized by a company that once played an important role in her life.
She said she was happy to receive the food package, although she had not yet opened it to see what was inside.
“Alhamdulillah, I received the food package. I don’t even know what’s inside yet because I haven’t opened it,” she said.
Hayani also prayed for PT TIMAH’s continued growth and success so it can keep benefiting the wider community.
“I hope PT TIMAH continues to thrive, run smoothly, and stay peaceful so it can keep contributing to society,” she added.
Previously, PT TIMAH had also distributed basic food packages to residents in Pemali, Bangka Regency, during last week’s Ramadan Safari program. (*)
