PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah continues to promote economic growth and enhance the quality of life in communities through its support for infrastructure development in the company’s operational areas.
Through various CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and environmental responsibility programs, PT Timah provides essential physical facilities that support the social and economic activities of local communities.
In 2024, PT Timah supported infrastructure development in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, the Riau Islands Province, and the Riau Province.
As a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, the company supports the development of public facilities, schools, sports facilities, fishing infrastructure, sanitation and hygiene systems, houses of worship, and decent housing for communities.
These infrastructure initiatives are part of PT Timah’s efforts to boost the local economy and contribute to improving human quality of life.
Among the public facility infrastructures supported by PT Timah in 2024 are the development of tourism facilities at Kolong Bebek in Kundur, cemetery fencing, tree planting, and the construction of a regional boundary gate, among others.
In the education sector, PT Timah has supported the construction of school bus shelters, classroom renovations, and the building of school halls.
To improve the welfare of fishermen, PT Timah has assisted in building bridges, dredging mooring areas, and removing sediment buildup at Sampur Beach.
PT Timah also supports sanitation and hygiene projects such as building healthy latrines, constructing retaining walls, and providing clean water access for communities.
In support of religious infrastructure, PT Timah has contributed to both the construction and renovation of houses of worship, benefiting a total of 36 religious facilities.
