PT TIMAH Strengthens Corporate Governance, Enhances Employee Understanding of Anti-Bribery

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to strengthen good corporate governance. One of the steps taken is improving employees’ understanding of integrity and the prevention of bribery practices.

PT TIMAH held a TINS Series Webinar themed Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS): Commitment Upheld, Integrity Maintained, conducted virtually on Monday (May 25, 2026).

This activity is part of the company’s commitment to strengthening the implementation of clean, transparent, and accountable corporate governance through increased understanding of the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS).

The webinar featured consultant and trainer for the development and implementation of Anti-Bribery Management Systems, Tommy Eka Miharja, as the speaker, who discussed various aspects related to the prevention of bribery, gratuities, and fraud within organizations.

Through this webinar, it is expected to enhance understanding that integrity is a key aspect in supporting the company’s sustainability amid increasingly complex business challenges.

In addition, this activity is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen the implementation of the Anti-Bribery Management System as part of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). The implementation of ABMS is not only about compliance with regulations and applicable standards, but also a concrete step toward creating a culture of integrity in the workplace.

On this occasion, Tommy Eka Miharja also explained various types of risks related to gratuities, bribery, and fraud that may occur within organizations.

Furthermore, Tommy explained that bribery is an act that leads to actions contrary to authority and has the potential to harm public interest.

“Fraud is an act of deviation and/or deliberate negligence carried out to deceive, mislead, or manipulate by organizations, consumers, or other parties within an organization, using organizational resources that can result in losses,” he explained.

According to him, ISO 37001:2025 is a standard that contains requirements and guidelines for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving an Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS).

Through strengthening the understanding of integrity and anti-bribery, PT TIMAH continues to encourage the creation of a healthy work culture while reinforcing sustainable corporate governance practices.
