BANGKA SELATAN — After previously distributing sacrificial animals to various operational areas, PT TIMAH once again shared the joy of Eid al-Adha with communities in South Bangka Regency through the distribution of dozens of sacrificial animals.
During Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriyah this year, PT TIMAH distributed a total of 31 sacrificial cows to various villages across South Bangka Regency. The assistance was symbolically handed over at the South Bangka Regent’s Office on Monday (25/5/2026).
The sacrificial animal distribution program reflects PT TIMAH’s commitment to continuously being present within the community and providing tangible benefits, particularly for residents in the company’s operational areas.
The handover ceremony was attended by South Bangka Regent H. Riza Herdavid, Deputy Regent Debby Vita Dewi, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and representatives from several companies participating in the Eid al-Adha social program.
H. Riza Herdavid expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH’s consistency in supporting the community through social programs, including the annual sacrificial animal distribution program.
“Alhamdulillah, this year the number of sacrificial cow donations increased to 31 compared to the previous year. PT TIMAH has always cared for the people of South Bangka,” he said.
According to Riza, the sacrificial animal assistance has provided significant benefits to the community, especially for residents who rarely have the opportunity to enjoy beef.
“This assistance reaches many areas, allowing communities to share in the joy of Eid al-Adha. There are even residents who may only be able to enjoy beef during moments like this,” he added.
He also assessed that PT TIMAH’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs have been well implemented and have created tangible impacts for the community.
“I hope other companies can follow PT TIMAH’s CSR programs because the benefits are truly felt by the community,” he stated.
Similar appreciation was expressed by the Head of Air Gegas Village, Masri. He said that the sacrificial animal assistance from PT TIMAH has greatly helped the community and has been consistently provided every year.
During this year’s Eid al-Adha, Air Gegas Village received seven sacrificial animals, consisting of one cow from PT TIMAH, one from another donor, and five from the local community.
“Alhamdulillah, it greatly helps the community. The sacrificial cow from PT TIMAH was handed over through the village government to the sacrificial committee for distribution to residents,” he explained.
Masri mentioned that, to date, PT TIMAH remains the only company that routinely distributes sacrificial animal assistance in Air Gegas Village.
“Thank you, PT TIMAH. We hope the company becomes even more successful and continues to prosper in the future,” he said.
During Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, PT TIMAH distributed a total of 268 sacrificial animals across the company’s operational areas in Riau Province, Riau Islands Province, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, and Jakarta.
This sacrificial animal assistance is a routine program carried out by PT TIMAH to share happiness with the community during Eid al-Adha. (*)
