PT Timah Receives Award for Largest Land and Building Tax Contribution in West Bangka

WEST BANGKA – PT Timah Tbk actively supports regional development by contributing to taxes and non-tax state revenues.

The West Bangka Regency Government recognized PT Timah’s significant tax contributions by awarding the company the largest taxpayer in the rural and urban land and building tax (PBB-P2) category in the region for the period ending September 30, 2024.

The award was presented by West Bangka Regent Sukirman and accepted by the Division Head of Processing and Refinery, Sofian Simangunsong, at the Graha Aparatur building in the West Bangka Regency Office on Thursday morning, December 19, 2024.

In addition to honoring PT Timah, the West Bangka Regency Government also acknowledged villages that achieved their 2024 PBB-P2 targets.

In his remarks, Regent H. Sukirman expressed appreciation for taxpayers and villages for their compliance and commitment to tax payments.

"This award motivates taxpayers and villages in West Bangka Regency to participate in regional development. Continuous tax payments significantly impact and contribute to regional income (PAD)," said Sukirman.

Meanwhile, Sari Dwi Estari, the Head of Data Processing and PAD Evaluation at the West Bangka Tax and Regional Levy Management Agency, highlighted that PT Timah has received this award for two consecutive years.

"For the past two years, PT Timah Tbk has been awarded as the largest taxpayer in the PBB-P2 category, a recognition that began in 2023," Sari explained.

PT Timah consistently contributes to state revenue through taxes and non-tax state revenues in its business processes.

The event was also attended by the Mentok branch leadership of Bank Sumsel Babel, Commander of 0431 West Bangka District Military Command (Dandim), village heads, and other taxpayers. (*)
