PANGKALPINANG -- During the momentum of Ramadan 1447 Hijri, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk shared happiness with the community, including students of Qur’an memorization (Tahfiz Al-Qur’an). Alongside its Ramadan Safari program, the company provided assistance to 35 Tahfiz students as a form of corporate social responsibility.
This activity not only served as a gathering moment, but also brought joy to the beneficiaries present across PT TIMAH’s operational areas.
One of them, Soleh Nugraha, a student from Pondok Pesantren Putra Muhammadiyah, was among the recipients of the assistance. The teenager from Simpang Pesak Village, East Belitung Regency, expressed his happiness at being able to attend the Ramadan Safari event and receive support from PT TIMAH.
“I am very happy to be able to attend this Ramadan Safari event, break the fast together, and receive assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk. I plan to use this support to help meet my family’s needs at home,” he said.
A similar feeling was shared by Rafiz Said Agil (14), a Tahfiz student from Kundur Island. He was grateful to receive assistance in the form of prayer equipment and educational support funds, which he considered very meaningful.
“Thank you to PT TIMAH for the assistance given to me. I received a cap and sarong, which I will use for prayers and while memorizing the Qur’an at the boarding school,” he said.
For Rafiz, the assistance was not merely material support, but also a form of care and encouragement that motivates him to continue memorizing the holy verses of the Qur’an.
“I hope PT TIMAH will continue to provide support like this to other Tahfiz students so that we remain motivated to learn,” he added.
Appreciation was also expressed by Revan Noverdi (15), who admitted he did not expect to be one of the recipients. He plans to save the assistance for future needs.
“I hope PT TIMAH continues to grow and succeed, and thank you for the support given to me. I did not expect to receive this assistance, and I will save it,” he said.
During this Ramadan Safari, the company not only shared happiness with Tahfiz students, but also provided assistance to hundreds of orphans and underprivileged individuals. Thousands of basic food packages were distributed to those in need, including the elderly, as well as support for mosque caretakers (marbot) and Qur’an teachers. (*)
