PANGKALPINANG – Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, PT Timah continues to bring meaningful benefits to communities around its mining areas. This effort focuses on improving the well-being of the local population, particularly in the healthcare sector.
In addition to offering mobile healthcare services via PT Timah’s Mobile Health Unit, the company also provides financial assistance for medical expenses to community members.
This medical aid program aims to help individuals facing health challenges while demonstrating PT Timah’s commitment to the welfare of communities in its operational areas.
The assistance is extended to residents requiring medical care for critical illnesses, outpatient treatments, and other medical needs. Targeting communities near the company’s operational sites, the initiative seeks to directly impact those in need.
“We recognize that many people still face financial barriers to accessing proper healthcare. Through this program, we aim to ensure they receive the necessary treatments,” said Anggi Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT Timah.
Anggi emphasized that health is a fundamental need, and PT Timah actively contributes to improving the health standards of local communities.
“This medical expense assistance program is a routine initiative by the company to alleviate healthcare costs and help residents access medical services,” she added.
Beyond financial assistance for treatment, PT Timah is also involved in various other health-related programs, such as free medical check-ups, blood donation drives, and health education for the community.
These efforts aim to enhance the quality of life for people living in the company’s operational areas. (*)
