PT TIMAH Provides Free Healthcare Services to 2,301 People Across 18 Locations in Three Regions

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to expand access to healthcare services for communities through its free healthcare program conducted across the company’s operational areas.

From January through August 2026, a total of 2,301 people received free healthcare services at 18 locations across the Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau Islands, and Jakarta.

The free healthcare program, which reaches communities in villages and remote areas, is one of PT TIMAH’s efforts to bring healthcare services closer to the public, particularly those living in areas with limited access to healthcare facilities.

Through this mobile healthcare service, residents can receive medical examinations directly in their communities without having to travel long distances for basic healthcare services. The program also aims to encourage greater awareness of the importance of regular health checkups.

The healthcare services provided include medical examinations, consultations with healthcare professionals, medication, and education on healthy lifestyles.

The free healthcare program has been enthusiastically welcomed by community members of all ages, from children to senior citizens. The program is expected to contribute to improving the overall health and well-being of the communities it serves.

West Bangka Deputy Regent H. Yus Derahman recently expressed his appreciation for PT TIMAH’s free healthcare program, which he said provides communities with easier and more accessible healthcare services.

According to him, the high level of community participation demonstrates that free healthcare services such as these are genuinely needed.

“This free healthcare service has indeed been eagerly awaited by the community. We can see for ourselves that the turnout has been tremendous, with many residents coming here for treatment. This shows that services like these are truly needed, especially when they are provided regularly,” Yus said while attending one of PT TIMAH’s free healthcare activities recently.

He expressed his appreciation to PT TIMAH for continuing to provide healthcare services to the community. Yus hopes the program can be maintained and expanded to reach more villages across West Bangka Regency.

“Alhamdulillah, on behalf of the West Bangka Regency Government, we would like to thank PT TIMAH for providing free medical examinations and treatment for the community. We hope this program can be maintained and expanded, reaching more villages and subdistricts throughout West Bangka Regency,” he said.

Similarly, Lilis (24), a resident of Central Bangka, said PT TIMAH’s free healthcare services provide an opportunity for community members to learn about health conditions that they had previously never had routinely checked.

“We feel greatly helped by this free health screening service. Previously, we did not know our blood sugar, cholesterol, or blood pressure levels. Now we have a better understanding of our health,” she said.

Another resident who benefited from PT TIMAH’s free healthcare services was Yurni (61), a resident of South Bangka.

She said PT TIMAH’s health screening was her first experience receiving services from the company’s mobile healthcare program. As a participant in the Referral Back Program (Program Rujuk Balik/PRB), Yurni also received several medications based on the results of her examination.

“This is my first time getting a checkup at the Mobil Sehat. My blood pressure was fairly high. I am a PRB patient. I was given vitamins for pain in my fingers, blood pressure medication, and medication for bone pain,” she said.

Yurni expressed her appreciation for the services provided by PT TIMAH’s healthcare team. According to her, all staff members, from the doctors to the registration personnel, provided friendly and attentive service.

She hopes the free health screening program will continue to be held on an ongoing basis because it provides meaningful benefits to the community, particularly those who need better access to healthcare services.

“I hope PT TIMAH continues to prosper and achieve even greater success. If possible, I hope activities like this can continue to be held every year. May PT TIMAH continue to thrive and help communities, especially those who are less fortunate,” she said. (*)
