PT TIMAH Provides Free Healthcare Services, 109 Air Rayak Residents Receive Medical Check-Ups

BELITUNG — Residents of Air Rayak Village, Tanjungpandan District, Belitung Regency, once again benefited from closer access to healthcare through free medical services provided by PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk on Saturday (September 12, 2026). A total of 109 residents took advantage of the free medical examinations and treatment.

The PT TIMAH healthcare service gave residents the opportunity to have their health conditions checked and receive free medical treatment without having to travel long distances to access healthcare facilities.

The free healthcare service provided by PT TIMAH was warmly welcomed by the community. In addition to helping residents receive medical treatment, the health examinations also served as an early detection measure, enabling residents to understand their health conditions and seek prompt treatment if any health concerns were identified.

One of the residents of Air Rayak Village, 28-year-old Etha Yesi Erlia, said she was helped by the availability of the free healthcare service. According to her, services that bring doctors directly into the community are highly needed.

“This is very helpful because it is free and there are doctors available. This is my first time participating, and I think it is very much needed,” Etha said.

She said that having healthcare services closer to residential areas makes it easier for residents, particularly the elderly, who may sometimes have difficulty traveling to community health centers (Puskesmas).

“There are many elderly people in our area who may have difficulty going to the Puskesmas. With services like this, we can receive treatment closer to home,” she said.

Etha hopes that similar free healthcare services can be held regularly in the future and reach more people across Belitung.

“Hopefully, in the future, the services can be provided even closer to us and held more frequently,” she said.

She added that regular health check-ups are also important as an early detection measure, allowing people to understand their health conditions from an early stage.

“This also serves as an early detection effort, making it easier for people to find out about their health conditions,” she said.

The free healthcare service is part of PT TIMAH’s efforts to bring healthcare access closer to the community. By providing services directly within residential areas, residents can more easily receive medical examinations and treatment while also becoming more aware of the importance of maintaining their health through regular check-ups.
