BELITUNG — PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk provided free health checkups and medical treatment for residents of Air Rayak Village, Tanjungpandan District, Belitung Regency, on Saturday (August 15, 2026).
The activity, held in a residential area, was enthusiastically welcomed by the local community. A total of 131 residents took advantage of the free healthcare services provided by PT TIMAH.
The free health service gave residents an opportunity to have their health conditions checked and receive medication based on their complaints and examination results.

One of the residents of Air Rayak Village, Evi Sulastri, said she benefited from the free healthcare service. According to her, health checkups and medical treatment such as these are greatly needed by the community, particularly for residents who face financial difficulties when seeking medical care.
“It’s great that we can get both medication and health checkups. Services like this are really needed because health is important. If we want to seek treatment, we usually have to spend money, so having it provided for free is a great help to the community,” said Evi.
Evi added that the activity was also beneficial because it allowed residents to identify potential health issues at an early stage. She hopes similar activities can be held regularly so that residents have easier access to health checkups.
“Hopefully, this can be held every month and become a regular program. People are very enthusiastic about getting medical treatment, especially since I also have some health complaints. With health checkups, potential problems can be detected early,” she said.
Evi also hopes that the scope of the health examinations can be expanded, including the addition of comprehensive blood tests, so that residents can gain a more complete picture of their overall health.
She expressed her appreciation for PT TIMAH’s attention and healthcare services provided to the residents of Air Rayak Village.
The presence of free healthcare services within residential areas is one of PT TIMAH’s efforts to bring access to healthcare services closer to the community.
For some residents, services like this are considered highly beneficial because they can receive health checkups and medical treatment without having to incur additional costs. (*)
