CENTRAL BANGKA -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to support the improvement of educational facilities and infrastructure through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. This time, the company provided assistance to help complete the construction of a literacy stage at SMP Negeri 2 Pangkalan Baru in Central Bangka Regency.
The support from PT TIMAH is expected to enhance teaching and learning activities while providing students with a more suitable facility to develop their interests, talents, and creativity within the school environment.
The Principal of SMP Negeri 2 Pangkalan Baru, Novi Nulta, expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH's commitment to supporting the development of educational facilities at the school.
According to Novi, the assistance will be used to complete the construction of the literacy stage as well as the development of a multipurpose sports court.
"The literacy stage will be used every year for various school activities, including literacy programs, extracurricular activities, student talent development, and a wide range of learning activities," Novi said.
She explained that the literacy stage has been built gradually using materials salvaged from the school's building revitalization project. The assistance from PT TIMAH has significantly accelerated the completion of the facility.
In addition to serving as a literacy space, the area will also feature a multipurpose court that students can use for sports and various school activities.
