WEST BANGKA – To support the community’s social and religious activities, PT Timah has provided funding assistance for the construction of a place of worship by Yayasan Bengkel Hati Ruhul Ikhlas in Tugang Village, Kelapa District, West Bangka Regency.
The assistance was handed over directly by the Head of the Bangka Area Section, Dikron, accompanied by PT Timah's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Manager, Fahriza, to the Chairman of the Bengkel Hati Ruhul Ikhlas Mosque Foundation, Uli Hamdan, on Thursday (16/1/2025).
The foundation chairman, Uli Hamdan, explained that PT Timah's support will continue the mosque's construction, such as purchasing building materials and other necessities.
"Alhamdulillah, with the assistance from PT Timah, we can proceed with the construction of this mosque, which will later be used as a place for learning and worship," said Uli.
Uli explained that the decision to construct the mosque was due to its strategic location in the center of the community settlement, providing convenience for residents to worship.
"Our village is a new settlement far from the nearest mosque. With the population growing, this location is strategically positioned in the heart of the community, making it easily accessible for worship," he elaborated.
They expressed gratitude for the assistance from PT Timah, which has helped expedite the mosque's construction.
"Alhamdulillah, for us, PT Timah has greatly contributed to the development of places of worship in Bangka Belitung, especially in Kelapa District, positively impacting the community," said Uli.
"May PT Timah and everyone involved be blessed with trustworthiness, health, longevity, prosperity, and eternal rewards for their contributions to society," he concluded. (*)
