PANGKALPINANG – As part of its commitment to being present in the community, PT Timah Tbk frequently provides assistance to various houses of worship across religions. This support includes improving worship facilities and infrastructure as well as supporting social and religious activities.
PT Timah Tbk’s commitment to supporting houses of worship is a form of social care and an effort to strengthen religious harmony in the company’s operational areas.
With this assistance, it is expected that houses of worship will become more comfortable for congregations to use, both for worship and for hosting community activities.
This assistance is part of the company’s regular CSR programs. In 2024, PT Timah provided support to dozens of houses of worship of different faiths.
In 2025, PT Timah has once again delivered assistance to houses of worship, including Al Qomar Mosque in Sinar Bulan, Pangkalpinang City.
PT Timah Tbk’s Head of Corporate Communication Department, Anggi Siahaan, said that houses of worship play an important role, not only as places of prayer but also as centers for social activities that strengthen community togetherness.
“Through this support for houses of worship, we hope to help foster a life of peace, harmony, and tolerance,” said Anggi.
The Supervisory Chairman of Al Qomar Mosque Foundation, Rosli, expressed his gratitude for PT Timah’s assistance, which will be used to add worship facilities.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very, very grateful to PT Timah for providing assistance to purchase prayer rugs,” he said.
According to him, the support in providing prayer rugs is necessary because Al Qomar Mosque still lacks sufficient prayer rugs.
“Indeed, until now we still have a significant shortage of prayer rugs, and we still need many more for the congregation,” he explained.
