BANGKA TENGAH — Ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, PT TIMAH once again demonstrated its concern for the community by distributing sacrificial animal assistance to residents living around the company’s operational areas, including in Central Bangka Regency.
The symbolic handover of the sacrificial animal assistance was held at the Official Residence Hall of the Central Bangka Regent on Friday (22/5/2026). The community warmly welcomed the assistance as it was considered to provide tangible benefits, especially for residents in need.
Representative of the Kulur Village Government, Hasan Basri, stated that PT TIMAH has distributed sacrificial animal assistance several times for residents in his village. According to him, the sacrificial cow assistance greatly helps underprivileged residents so they can still experience the joy of Eid al-Adha.
“Alhamdulillah, the sacrificial cow assistance from PT TIMAH is very helpful for residents in need in Kulur Village,” said Hasan Basri.
He explained that the sacrificial meat would later be distributed through Al Muhajirin Mosque before being handed over to beneficiary residents. This year, the number of residents receiving sacrificial meat in Kulur Village is quite large.
Hasan added that the sacrificial animal assistance from PT TIMAH reflects the company’s concern for the community, especially amid economic conditions that are still unstable for some residents.
A similar statement was delivered by the Head of South Cambai Village, Muharam. He revealed that this year, there will be nine sacrificial cows slaughtered in his area, while data collection for sacrificial goats is still ongoing.
Muharam noted that PT TIMAH has routinely distributed sacrificial animal assistance to the people of South Cambai Village, even before he served as village head.
Approximately 1,000 residents of South Cambai Village are expected to receive sacrificial meat distribution this year.
“Alhamdulillah, this sacrificial assistance is very helpful for the people of South Cambai Village. We would like to thank PT TIMAH and hope the company continues to progress,” he said. (*)
