PT TIMAH Once Again Receives PMI Award for Consistent Support of Blood Donation Initiatives

SOUTH BANGKA -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk’s commitment to supporting social and humanitarian initiatives has once again earned recognition. This time, the company received an award from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of South Bangka Regency for its contributions to various humanitarian activities, particularly blood donation drives.

The award was presented by Chairperson of PMI South Bangka and Vice Regent of South Bangka, Debby Vita Dewi, during the commemoration of PMI’s 81st anniversary at the PMI South Bangka Secretariat on Friday afternoon (October 30, 2026).

The award recognizes PT TIMAH’s consistent collaboration with PMI South Bangka and its continued support for social initiatives that directly benefit local communities.

This recognition from PMI South Bangka further adds to PT TIMAH’s track record of supporting humanitarian efforts. Previously, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk also received an award from PMI Pangkalpinang City for its support and contributions to blood donation activities.

The awards from these two regions reflect the company’s strong collaboration with humanitarian organizations in promoting social responsibility and helping maintain an adequate blood supply for people in need.

In addition to supporting blood donation drives, PT TIMAH demonstrated its commitment to community welfare by providing a number of essential food packages. The packages will be distributed to South Bangka residents participating in blood donation activities.

Chairperson of PMI South Bangka, Debby Vita Dewi, expressed her appreciation and gratitude to PT TIMAH for its continued support of various PMI initiatives, particularly blood donation drives.

She explained that the award serves as a tribute to partners who have contributed to advancing PMI’s humanitarian mission.

“This award is our way of recognizing partners who have contributed to organizing blood donation drives. We extend our deepest gratitude to PT TIMAH for its extraordinary support. PT TIMAH is one of the companies that has consistently supported PMI South Bangka,” Debby said.

She expressed hope that the partnership between PMI South Bangka and PT TIMAH would continue to grow and strengthen, extending beyond blood donation drives to include other social and humanitarian programs that could reach more communities.

Debby emphasized that support and collaboration from various stakeholders are essential to PMI’s ability to carry out its humanitarian mission, particularly in assisting people in need.

“We hope PT TIMAH continues to thrive and remains committed to supporting social and humanitarian initiatives so that even more people can benefit from its contributions,” she added.

Appreciation for the initiative was also expressed by Murzika (60), one of the aid recipients. She said she was grateful for the care and support shown by PMI South Bangka and PT TIMAH in providing assistance to the community.

“Alhamdulillah, thank you very much to PMI and the sponsors. As PMI celebrates its 81st anniversary, I hope it continues to thrive, make meaningful contributions, and bring lasting benefits to the community,” she said.
