WEST KUNDUR -- Entering the seventh night of the Likur month of Ramadan, the people of Karimun are making creations by making gates and mosques using lamps arranged in such a way that they look beautiful and charming.
To support this activity, PT Timah Tbk Kundur Region handed over assistance to the community, on Saturday 6 April 2024.
This assistance is one of PT Timah's efforts to support the preservation of community customs and culture in the company's operational areas.
Meanwhile, one of the aid recipients, Yusuf Maulana from Dusun II Parit Seratus, Sungai Sebesi Village, Kundur District, said he was very happy to receive assistance from PT Timah so that the activities they carried out could run well.
"I represent the youth from Dusun II Parit Seratus to express my gratitude for the help and attention from the company so that the activities we are carrying out, namely making gates from lamps, can run smoothly," he said.
Likewise, South Sawang Village Youth Zamroni said that the assistance from PT Timah was very meaningful for them in participating in this Night Plug Light Festival.
"With this assistance, the need for making plug-in light gates can be met so that the activities we carry out can proceed according to plan," he said.
Meanwhile, West Kundur District Head Yusufian expressed his appreciation to PT Timah for its assistance and support to the community.
With this festival, he said, it could also become a cheap tourist attraction for all levels of the West Kundur community to enjoy.
