PT TIMAH Invites Investors to Explore Its Business Process, From Mining Sites to Processing Plants

PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to strengthen transparency and communication with stakeholders by facilitating investor visits to directly observe the company’s business processes, from mining activities to tin processing in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

The visit was attended by analysts from CGS International Sekuritas, who were allowed to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the tin production chain.

Research Analyst of CGS International Sekuritas, Joanne Ong, stated that the visit left a positive impression and enriched her understanding of the tin industry.

“This was very impressive and helped deepen our understanding of the tin business, especially by directly observing the production process,” she said.

She added that the entire production process became the main attraction during the visit.

“Seeing the production process firsthand was already very interesting. In the future, it would be even more comprehensive if we could also witness direct enforcement actions against illegal mining activities,” she added.

Similarly, Research Associate of CGS International Sekuritas, Edward Halim, also appreciated the company’s openness in providing access to information for investors.

Edward noted that the smelting process and offshore mining activities were the most interesting experiences during the visit. He also mentioned that overall, the visit provided a clearer picture of the company’s operations.

From a business outlook perspective, the analysts assessed PT TIMAH’s short-term performance as quite positive, while its long-term prospects remain promising, despite challenges in execution.

“Prospects will heavily depend on production levels. Therefore, we need to continue monitoring factors such as task force activities and the number of operating vessels, both owned by PT TIMAH and its partners,” Joanne explained.

Furthermore, the company’s growth potential is still considered open, particularly through increased production volume. However, certainty regarding operational support, such as task force involvement and the management of confiscated assets, remains a key factor in strengthening investor optimism. (*)
