PANGKALPINANG -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk has officially implemented a work from home (WFH) policy for its employees as part of a prudent energy use initiative. This policy took effect on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and will be carried out regularly every Wednesday.
The implementation of this policy is outlined in Circular Letter Number: 0011/Tbk/ED-0000/26-S11.1 regarding the determination of working hours related to the company’s energy efficiency initiative for PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk employees.
Through this policy, PT TIMAH is adjusting its work pattern by combining office-based and remote work systems to improve operational efficiency while supporting energy savings within the company.
The Director of Human Resources of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, Ratih Mayasari, stated that this WFH policy is a strategic step by the company to optimize energy usage without reducing employee productivity.
“The implementation of WFH every Wednesday is part of the company’s commitment to supporting energy efficiency while encouraging a more flexible work pattern. We ensure that performance remains optimal through an integrated work system,” she said.
She added that this policy is also expected to have a positive impact and serves as part of the company’s contribution to supporting environmentally friendly practices by reducing energy consumption in office areas.
To support this effort, the General Affairs (GA) team has intensified workplace monitoring with a focus on efficiency and energy conservation, particularly electricity usage in office areas, by conducting direct monitoring of each workspace to ensure energy use remains controlled, especially in areas that are not in use during the WFH period.
PT TIMAH ensures that all operational activities continue to run smoothly through strengthened coordination and the use of digital technology, so that services and company performance remain well maintained.
Through this policy, PT TIMAH continues to demonstrate its commitment to implementing sustainability principles, energy efficiency, and good corporate governance. (*)
