SOUTH BANGKA -- To improve the construction of facilities and infrastructure for houses of worship, PT Timah Tbk handed over assistance for the renovation of the Nurul Hidayah Mosque, Toboali District, South Bangka Regency, Friday (25/02/2022).
The mosque which has been established approximately 30 years ago wants to expand the mosque to increase the comfort of the congregation in worship.
Previously, the Nurul Hidayah Mosque had never been renovated. However, seeing the condition of the community that more and more, mosque administrators decided to carry out renovations by widening the building.
Chairman of the Nurul Hidayah Mosque H. Supiandi said, after the widening renovation, the mosque building can accommodate more than 500 residents.
“Previously this mosque could only accommodate approximately 200 worshipers. However, after the widening will be carried out, it will be able to accommodate more than 500 congregations to worship," he said.
"Not only that, if it rains, the Nurul Hidayah Mosque can be flooded. So that it interferes with the activities of the congregation in the mosque," he added.
H. Supiandi really appreciates PT Timah Tbk for helping to improve comfort in worship at the Nurul Hidayah Mosque.
"Alhamdulillah, the assistance from PT Timah has been very helpful, this shows PT Timah's concern for the construction of mosque renovations to make it better. We will make good use of this assistance," he said.
According to him, this assistance will be used to purchase materials for the renovation of the Nurul Hidayah Mosque.
"God willing, we will buy basic building equipment. Such as cement, stone, sand and so on. We will make best use of the assistance from PT Timah Tbk,” he said.*
