BANGKA -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk has once again provided medical assistance to community members in need within its operational areas. This support is part of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
The medical assistance was given to Satriadi (38), a resident of East Kace Village, Central Bangka Regency, who is suffering from tongue cancer. He has been battling the illness for approximately six months.
Satriadi previously underwent surgery, but he is still experiencing difficulty speaking and carrying out normal daily activities. He continues to undergo further treatment, including medical therapy that is not fully covered by BPJS Health insurance.
The assistance from PT TIMAH is intended to support Satriadi’s recovery process, including funding for continued therapy and other medical needs.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you to PT TIMAH,” Satriadi said haltingly.
Meanwhile, Satriadi’s sister, Sari, explained that her brother still requires further medical treatment. At the same time, the family is facing financial difficulties, as Satriadi, the head of the household, is unable to work normally.
Sari expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the attention and assistance provided by PT TIMAH.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful to PT TIMAH for the assistance given for my brother’s medical treatment. This support is very helpful for us in continuing the treatment process,” said Sari. (*)
