PANGKALPINANG -- To support community social and religious activities, PT Timah through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program routinely assists in places of worship.
In the month of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah, PT Timah handed over aid to nine places of worship in the company's operational areas. This is the company's effort to improve the facilities and infrastructure of places of worship.
The nine houses of worship that received this assistance are spread across Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province, and Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This assistance was handed over in conjunction with PT Timah's Ramadan Safari activities.
The assistance provided by PT Timah was felt by the administrators of places of worship to be beneficial, because some of it was used to continue the construction of houses of worship, and some of it was used to add facilities and infrastructure or repair houses of worship.
Head of Al Kautsar Musala Development, Hamlet III, Gemuruh Village, West Kundur District, Karimun Regency, Khairi, expressed his appreciation for the assistance provided by PT Timah to support the ongoing construction of the Musala.
They were very impressed with the company's attention and concern for places of worship so that it could help make it easier for residents to carry out religious activities.
"Thank you to PT Timah for the assistance and attention that has been given to us. This assistance helps the smooth running of the development activities that we are carrying out. "Hopefully the construction of this prayer room can be completed soon, so it can be used," he said.
Likewise, the Head of the Al Muhajirin Prayer Room in West Bangka Regency, Wira Sastrawan, said that the Al Muhajirin prayer room had been standing for decades and several buildings were damaged and had to be replaced.
"The Al Muhajirin Prayer Room has been standing for decades, there are already several parts of the building that are damaged and need to be repaired, PT Timah's assistance will be used to repair the damaged parts of the building," he said. (*)
