PT Timah employees won second place in the Karimun Regency Badminton Tournament in the context of National K3 Month

KARIMUN -- Employees of PT Timah Tbk Kundur Region won second place in the badminton tournament organized by the Karimun Regency Manpower and Transmigration Service to commemorate National K3 Month.

A number of companies in Karimun Regency also sent their representatives to take part in the inter-company badminton match which took place on January 31 at the Karimun Indofutsal Field.

Head of the Karimun Regency Manpower and Transmigration Service, Rufendy, expressed his appreciation to all participants from various company representatives in Karimun Regency who had made this competition a success.

"In essence, this activity is a means of friendship and strengthening cooperation between fellow workers in Karimun Regency, apart from that, it is also looking for potential seeds and to maintain body fitness so that they are able to work well which supports work productivity," he said.

Through this badminton tournament, it is hoped that workers will always apply the K3 culture in their daily work so that they can minimize the occurrence of work accidents.

This is also in line with the Karimun Regency Government program to reduce the number of work accidents.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Riau Islands Province Manpower and Transmigration Service, Mangara Simarmata, said that this activity was to unite all workers in Karimun Regency who share a common love for Badminton.

"Apart from that, this activity is also a means to remind each other of the importance of implementing K3 culture in daily work," he said.

"The commemoration of National K3 Month should not only be a ceremonial activity but K3 Culture can be implemented by all workers to support productivity so that the company's business can also be achieved," he continued.

According to him, companies in Karimun Regency have started to follow K3 implementation and regulations properly, so that this can reduce or minimize accidents at work.

"So far we have seen that companies in Karimun have started to participate in the implementation of K3, of course, we should appreciate this," he said.

Nevertheless, Mangara requested that every company continue to be committed to following every applicable K3 regulation in accordance with the rules contained in Law 1 of 1970.

"That all workers must be protected, given guarantees to work safely and with welfare," he asked. (*)
