PT Timah Employees Share Usable Items with Communities Around Mining Areas to Celebrate the Company’s 49th Anniversary

KUNDUR -- In celebration of its 49th anniversary, employees of PT Timah Tbk demonstrated their social care through a Decluttering activity—collecting and distributing usable items to residents living near the company’s operational areas.

This program reflects the synergy between employees and the community, as well as the company’s genuine spirit of sharing during this special occasion to bring tangible benefits to society. The initiative aligns with PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary theme, “For the Red and White.”

The Decluttering activity was also carried out by employees in the Kepri and Riau Kundur Units, who gathered various items needed by the community, from children’s toys and clothing to reading books. The donations collected included 16 kilograms of children’s toys, 8 kilograms of shoes and sandals, 123 kilograms of clothing for children and adults, and 20 kilograms of reading books.

These donations were distributed on July 31, 2025, to the Indigenous communities of Prayun Village, Teluk Salak in Gemuruh Village, Sawang Laut Village, and the Indigenous community in Sawang Subdistrict, Kundur.

Meanwhile, in the Karimun area, PT Timah employees collected 7 kilograms of children’s toys, 62 kilograms of children’s clothing, 96 kilograms of adult clothing, 8 kilograms of children’s shoes, and 31 kilograms of adult shoes and sandals. These donations were delivered on August 5, 2025, to residents of Teluk Uma and Pongkar Village, as well as to communities and foundations in Karimun District, including the Al-Mubrakah Nurhasanah Foundation.

Nurfaizah, a representative of the Al Muhajirin Dwi Kora Foundation—also an alumna and teacher there—expressed her appreciation for the assistance.

“On behalf of our foundation, we sincerely thank PT Timah for the reading books and usable clothing. May they be of great benefit to all of us, and may Allah protect and bless us all,” she said.

Similarly, Juliati, head of Dusun 1 in Pelambung Village, said that the clothing assistance was a great help.

“We would like to thank PT Timah, especially its employees, for distributing usable clothing to the residents of Pelambung Village,” she said.

In addition to the Decluttering activity, PT Timah also carried out other social programs as part of its Service Month, including free health services, blood donations, mass circumcisions, and community clean-ups.

The Decluttering program was not only part of PT Timah Tbk’s 49th anniversary celebration but also an opportunity to strengthen bonds between employees and the community. Through this simple yet meaningful action, PT Timah employees reaffirmed their commitment to spreading positive impact and inspiring a spirit of sharing within the surrounding environment.
