PT Timah Educates Stannia Kindergarten Students about Fire Handling

WEST BANGKA - PT Timah educated Stannia Kindergarten students in Muntok District, West Bangka Regency about the dangers of fire and how to handle fires at the Muntok Metallurgy Unit on Thursday (22/2/2024).

The TK/Kindergarten students enthusiastically listened to the education in the form of simulations and theories from the PT Timah Processing and Smelting Division's K3LH team.

The students were also taken on a tour using PT Timah's Fire Truck and learned how to spray water.

The Head of Stannia Kindergarten, Suparningsih, stated that the collaboration with PT Timah is a routine program conducted every year.

"This school program is carried out every year, in collaboration with PT Timah with the aim of introducing children from an early age about the dangers of fire and how to extinguish it, so that they don't panic in the event of a fire," explained Suparningsih.

She admitted that PT Timah has been concerned about education, especially in the school she leads.

"Stannia Kindergarten always collaborates with PT Timah. In addition to providing education on fire handling, PT Timah often helps school activities and cares about education," she said.

One of the Stannia Kindergarten students, Abi, admitted that he is not afraid of fire and enjoys participating in school activities.

"I am very happy to be able to extinguish the fire with a sack, play with water, and ride on the fire truck," he said.

Similarly, Zea also expressed her excitement about participating in the fire extinguisher education.

"It's exciting! Riding on the fire truck and getting wet while learning to spray water," she said.

Likewise, Yuni (41), the parent of Adibah (6), stated that this activity is very good and the children are enthusiastic about participating in fire extinguisher education.

"The activity is great, introducing children to the dangers of fire and how to extinguish it. The children are enthusiastic and happy with this activity," she explained.
