KUNDUR – As part of its commitment to improving public health, PT Timah Tbk consistently carries out corporate social responsibility programs in the health sector.
In addition to providing free healthcare services, PT Timah also supports the enhancement of public health facilities and infrastructure.
This time, as a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, PT Timah donated medical equipment to the Bina Citra Kundur Foundation on Friday (24/01/25).
Bina Citra Foundation is a social institution that manages two main services: a nursing home for the elderly and a mental health rehabilitation center.
Jonah, a trustee of the Bina Citra Kundur Foundation, stated that in its three years of operation, the foundation had not yet acquired sufficient medical equipment.
"We had no medical equipment at all. Our foundation is close to the local health center, but for blood pressure and blood sugar checks, we had to take the elderly there, which was difficult because they had to wait in long queues," he explained.
The medical equipment donated by PT Timah includes oxygen tanks, blood pressure monitors, wheelchairs, walking canes, and devices for measuring blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels.
"This medical equipment from PT Timah is extremely beneficial for the elderly and mental health patients here. It also enables us to continuously monitor their basic health conditions," he added.
The Bina Citra Kundur Foundation expressed its appreciation for PT Timah’s medical equipment donation. They hope that PT Timah will continue to support the foundation in the future.
"I sincerely thank PT Timah for its support, and I hope that in the future, PT Timah can also help improve healthcare access for the elderly and mental health patients in our foundation," he concluded.
