WEST BANGKA -- Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri, PT Timah distributed hundreds of food packages to the community in Sungai Baru, Mentok District, West Bangka Regency.
This food package assistance is a routine program carried out by PT Timah for various happiness for the community during the month of Ramadan and welcoming Eid al-Fitr.
One of the recipients of PT Timah's food packages, Sitiyana (54) said that the assistance provided by PT Timah could help fulfill the family's food needs.
“The basic food assistance from PT Timah helps the family's economy a lot, especially before Eid, of course it greatly alleviates the needs of daily life,” she said, Wednesday (3/19/2025) afternoon.
Sitiyana admitted that every year she always gets basic food assistance from PT Timah.
“Every year during the fasting month I always get help from PT Timah. Thank you very much. Hopefully PT Timah always cares about the people who don't have,” she said.
Likewise, Dahlina admitted that she was happy to get basic food assistance from PT Timah, especially before Eid the price of food needs increased.
“Very happy to get basic food assistance, especially the condition of basic needs ahead of Eid is quite expensive, very helpful for us. Thank you PT Timah,” she said.
Lurah Sungai Baru Suherlin said PT Timah often helps residents of Sungai Baru village. The assistance provided by PT Timah helps the community ahead of Eid.
“Almost every year PT Timah provides assistance, in addition to basic necessities PT Timah also provides assistance for orphans, health assistance, and many more. Hopefully PT Timah will continue to prosper,” he said. (*)
