SOUTH BANGKA -- PT Timah handed over social and religious assistance to Toboali District, South Bangka Regency. This is also a form of corporate environmental social responsibility.
The assistance handed over by PT Timah was assistance to support the construction of the fence for the Al Istiqomah Mosque at the Toboali Teachers' National Housing Complex and assistance for the implementation of the 12th Toboali District Level Musabaqoh and Tilawatil Quran and Prophetic Hadith (MTQH) activities in 2024.
PT Timah consistently supports social and religious activities of the community in the Company's operational areas. This is a form of harmonization between PT Timah and the community.
Toboali Subdistrict Head, Amrul Mustakim appreciated PT Timah's commitment to continuing to contribute and support the social and religious activities of the community in their area.
"We appreciate the assistance from PT Timah to support MTQH activities in Toboali District. Because assistance from PT Timah is useful for supporting this activity," he said.
According to him, assistance from PT Timah is used to support MTQH activities in Toboali District, including for the operation of competitions which are held annually.
There were various competitions competed in the 12th MTQH in Toboali District, including calligraphy, Tilawatil Quran, Syharil, Fahmil and others which were divided into two categories, namely men's and women's.
Amrul Mustakim added that PT Timah often collaborates with them to help the community, for example social assistance for the health and economic sectors.
"We hope that PT Timah can continue to exist because the community's economy is still supported by the mining sector. If PT Timah exists, the benefits for the community can also continue to be felt," he said. (*)
