BANGKA -- In the moment of the Holy Month of Ramadan, PT Timah Tbk continues to spread benefits and share with the community. This time, PT Timah Tbk collaborated with the Sungailiat Region Timah Employee Wives Association (IIKT) to distribute hundreds of food packages to residents in Bangka Regency.
Through an activity titled Ramadan Sharing Blessings, PT Timah helps fulfill food needs for the community ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
The food packages were handed over by the Division Head of Engineering & Operation Excellence (EOE) of PT Timah Tbk, Muhamad Ikhsan at the EOE Division office, Sungailiat, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Thursday (20/03/2025).
Siti Khodijah, one of the residents who received this assistance said that she really felt helped by the assistance from PT Timah Tbk for her parents.
She said that currently her 70-year-old parents are still actively gardening, even though they have been prohibited but because they are used to gardening, her parents continue to garden.
“Alhamdullilah, we are very grateful to PT Timah for helping our parents, frankly did not expect to get this assistance, hopefully PT Timah will be more advanced and can continue to share with the community,” said Siti.
Similarly, Zumaidah (60), a resident of Senang Hati, Sungailiat, did not expect to receive assistance from PT Timah Tbk.
“Alhamdullilah, today I got sustenance from PT Timah, honestly I did not expect to get help from PT Timah. Thank you very much PT Timah for your help, hopefully it will be a blessing and can continue to share,” said Zumaidah.
In addition to distributing hundreds of food packages, PT Timah employees also distributed hundreds of takjil packages for motorists and were also distributed to the Baitul Ummah Mosque.
This food package assistance is expected to increase community harmonization in the Company's operational area. The food package distribution program is also held in all operational areas of the Company. (*)
