PANGKALPINANG — During the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebration, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk distributed hundreds of sacrificial animals to communities across its operational areas. This initiative forms part of the company’s commitment to sharing benefits with the community.
This year, the company distributed a total of 281 sacrificial animals to various operational areas across the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Province, Riau Islands Province, and Jakarta.
Bangka Tengah Regent Algafry Rahman appreciated PT TIMAH’s consistency in helping the community through social assistance programs, including the annual distribution of sacrificial animals.
According to Algafry, the sacrificial animal assistance from PT TIMAH provides real benefits to the community, especially in helping residents enjoy dishes made from sacrificial meat during the Eid al-Adha celebration.
“On behalf of the Bangka Tengah Government, we would like to thank PT TIMAH for being very caring and consistent in providing support and assistance to the people of Bangka Tengah,” he said.
He noted that the number of sacrificial animals distributed by PT TIMAH this year had increased compared to the previous year. According to him, this demonstrates the company’s growing commitment to making social contributions to the community.
Similarly, Bangka Selatan Regent H. Riza Herdavid also appreciated PT TIMAH’s consistency in continuing social programs for the community.
“Alhamdulillah, this year the number of sacrificial cows increased to 31 compared to the previous year. PT TIMAH has always cared for the people of Bangka Selatan,” he said.
According to Riza, the assistance has been greatly beneficial, especially for people who do not regularly get the opportunity to enjoy beef.
“This assistance reaches many areas, allowing the community to share in the joy of Eid al-Adha. Some people may only get to enjoy beef during moments like this,” he added.
Appreciation also came from Kepulauan Meranti Regent, AKBP (Ret.) H. Asmar, who expressed gratitude for the sacrificial animal assistance once again distributed by PT TIMAH to communities in his region.
“On behalf of the Kepulauan Meranti Regency Government, we would like to thank PT TIMAH for providing assistance in the form of 13 sacrificial cows distributed in the Rangsang area,” he said.
He hopes the company will continue to grow so it can keep contributing to both the community and regional development.
Meanwhile, Bangka Barat Regent Markus also appreciated PT TIMAH’s contribution, noting that the company provided the largest number of sacrificial animal donations in the region this year.
“We thank PT TIMAH for providing 39 sacrificial cows for the people of Bangka Barat. We hope PT TIMAH continues to grow and contribute to society,” he said.
According to Markus, the distribution of sacrificial animals is not only part of religious worship but also strengthens social awareness, solidarity, and the spirit of sharing within the community.
He hopes all distributed sacrificial animal assistance will reach the right recipients so that the benefits are truly felt by those in need.
Through this sacrificial animal distribution program, PT TIMAH continues to strengthen its role not only as a mining company but also as a company actively contributing to community welfare and social development in its operational areas. (*)
