PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah continues to bring benefits to communities in its operational areas, including through assistance for places of worship. This support is part of the company’s commitment to improving facilities and infrastructure, as well as providing greater comfort for worshippers.
This time, PT Timah provided assistance to the foundation board of Al Qomar Mosque Sinar Bulan, Bukit Intan District, Pangkalpinang City.
Rosli, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Al Qomar Mosque Foundation, said that the assistance from the tin mining company would be used to purchase prayer rugs.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very, very grateful to PT Timah for providing this assistance to purchase prayer rugs,” he said.
According to him, the procurement of prayer rugs was necessary because Al Qomar Mosque still lacked enough for its congregation.
“Up until now, we still don’t have enough prayer rugs. We need many more for our worshippers,” he explained.
He also appreciated PT Timah’s contribution, which has frequently supported them in various activities.
“This is the third time we have received assistance from PT Timah. Previously, PT Timah also helped us with the procurement of the mosque dome and the repair of the restrooms. We hope PT Timah will continue to thrive and keep contributing to the community in Bangka Belitung,” he added.
