PT TIMAH Collaborates with BKKBN Bangka Belitung to Promote Quality Parenting Through the TAMASYA Program

BANGKA BARAT -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting children’s growth and development as the nation’s future generation. In collaboration with the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, the company organized a Capacity Building Program for Caregivers in the Child-Friendly Care Center (TAMASYA) Program.

The activity was attended by Child Care Providers (BPA), managers of Qur’anic Learning Centers (TPA), Family Planning Counselors (PKB), and Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB) from across West Bangka Regency. The event was held at PT TIMAH’s Wisma Sriwijaya in Mentok, West Bangka Regency, on Friday, June 19, 2026.

The program aims to enhance the capacity and competence of caregivers in providing high-quality, positive, and child-friendly parenting practices. This effort is an important part of supporting human resource development toward the realization of Indonesia Emas 2045.

Dr. Nofianti, Coordinator of the TAMASYA Program in Bangka Belitung, stated that West Bangka Regency has 12 Qur’anic Learning Centers (TPA) designated as implementation sites for the TAMASYA Program.

According to her, the program focuses on four main areas. First, strengthening caregivers’ capacity to provide safe and high-quality childcare services for children entrusted to their care. Second, regularly monitoring children’s growth and development to ensure they are progressing optimally.

“Third, establishing a feedback mechanism for parents so they can stay informed about their children’s condition and developmental progress. Fourth, ensuring that children’s development continues to be monitored and communicated to their parents,” she explained.

She expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH’s support, noting the company’s strong commitment to programs that assist in monitoring and supporting child development across Bangka Belitung.

“The most important first step is to improve caregivers’ capacity. When caregivers become more competent, the quality of care improves, enabling children to achieve more optimal growth and development,” she said.

Nofianti also expressed hope that the existing partnership would continue through various programs that provide broad benefits to the community.

“We hope PT TIMAH will continue to implement programs that create positive impacts for society. Together, we can improve the quality of human resources in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province through well-planned and sustainable initiatives,” she said.

Meanwhile, Sarbudiono, Head of the Population Control, Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment, and Child Protection Agency (DP2KBP3A) of West Bangka Regency, also expressed appreciation for the collaboration between PT TIMAH and BKKBN in organizing the program.

“We would like to thank PT TIMAH for its tangible contribution to regional development. We also appreciate BKKBN for its continued commitment to implementing family development programs through various initiatives that benefit the community,” he said.

He expressed hope that the partnership would continue to generate positive impacts on improving the quality of families and the younger generation in West Bangka.

“We hope this synergy will continue, bringing significant benefits to the community and receiving blessings from Allah SWT,” he concluded. (*)
