KARIMUN -- PT Timah continues to uphold its commitment to corporate social responsibility by providing direct benefits to the community, one of which is through its decent housing assistance program for residents in the company’s operational areas.
This time, PT Timah has built a livable house for Iwan, a resident of Kundur Village, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. The Decent Housing Assistance Program is part of the company’s efforts to improve the quality of life for local communities.
In collaboration with Kodim 0317 TBK, PT Timah has given new hope to Iwan and his family, allowing them to live in a safe and comfortable home.
Iwan expressed his appreciation to PT Timah and Kodim 0317 TBK for helping him and his family obtain a better place to live.
“Thank you PT Timah and Kodim 0317 TBK for providing a decent house for me and my family. Long live PT Timah,” he said.
Previously, PT Timah also built a house for Nasir, a resident of Gemuruh Village, Bukit Senang, Kundur District. Nasir said he could finally sleep peacefully and comfortably after his house was renovated by PT Timah in cooperation with Kodim 0317/TBK.
This program is part of the company’s efforts to improve the quality of life, particularly for underprivileged families living in uninhabitable homes.
PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that the company is committed to improving the quality of life for communities and supporting the Government’s poverty alleviation programs.
In 2024, PT Timah helped build 33 units of decent housing for communities in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province.
“PT Timah remains committed to providing benefits to communities in its operational areas, including through the decent housing program. This initiative is expected to help improve public health,” she said.
